February the 26th, 2026 – The popular FlixBus is planning to expand its Croatian bus network, encompassing the very heart of the country to the coast.
As Sinisa Malus/Poslovni Dnevnik writes, following its introduction of an expanded domestic network at the end of 2025, FlixBus is focusing on further encouraging mobility and travel within Croatia throughout 2026. Thanks to a network that connects almost 130 destinations nationwide, passengers can now easily and affordably plan shorter, more frequent and far more flexible trips.
The developed Croatian network and frequent departures make FlixBus a practical solution for various travel needs within Croatia. Whether it is business obligations between cities, student trips, family visits or shorter private trips, stable connectivity allows for easy planning without lengthy organisation and high costs.
“Our mission is to connect Croatia through a stable and affordable transport network that enables easy movement between cities and regions. The FlixBus domestic network is strategically tailored to the real needs of passengers, and promotional prices further contribute to the availability and frequency of travel,” emphasises Ante Grbeša, FlixBus Director for Croatia and the region.
The FlixBus domestic network connects different parts of the country, from the continental part down to the coast, thus contributing to a more even transport accessibility and strengthening the country’s connectivity. The continental part of the country is connected to Istria via the Zagreb – Rijeka – Pula route up to seventeen times a day, Slavonia and Dalmatia are connected by the Osijek – Zagreb – Split route, the north of Croatia and the central part of the country by the Zagreb – Varaždin – Čakovec route also up to 17 times a day, while the two largest cities, Zagreb and Split, are connected with more than 15 daily departures.
“In the context of the increasingly pronounced trend of shorter and more frequent trips, the possibility of a quick and affordable departure to another city is gaining additional importance,” they concluded from FlixBus following the announcement that it will expand its Croatian network.
