June the 26th, 2026 – The previously popular flydubai cuts its flights to both Zagreb and Dubrovnik, leaving many concerned about the very future of any connection with Croatia.
Dubai-based airline flydubai has reduced the number of flights operating to Croatia, cutting services on routes connecting Dubai with Zagreb and Dubrovnik.
Poslovni reports that these latest changes affect travellers relying on direct links between Croatia and the Gulf, with fewer available flight options expected during the travel season. flydubai’s Zagreb service has previously operated as a direct connection from Dubai, while Dubrovnik has also been served as part of the airline’s seasonal network.
The reduction comes as airlines continue adjusting schedules due to demand, aircraft availability, and broader network decisions. Passengers booked on affected services have been advised to check their flight status and contact the airline regarding possible changes.
For Croatia’s tourism sector, which depends heavily on international air connectivity, fewer direct links to major markets such as the Gulf could create additional pressure, particularly for Dubrovnik during the peak summer months
