The Tourism Ministry stated that these figures reflected very strong tourism, especially in the second quarter of 2025, an assessment based on data taken from the Croatian National Bank.
In the second quarter of 2025, foreign tourists generated revenue in Croatia which amounted to 3.5 billion euros, an increase of 5.7 percent or 190.2 million euros compared to the same period last year. The Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tonči Glavina, expressed his satisfaction with the results, emphasising that the tourism sector is developing strategically throughout the year, with particular growth during the pre- and post-season.
In the current post-season, tourist traffic was five percent higher than in the same period in 2024. Glavina noted that price competitiveness remains a crucial priority for the completion of creating a “permanent” tourist year for 2025 and the preparation of the upcoming season, emphasising that the Croatian Government is actively continuing to undertake activities that support these trends and promote the real and sustainable growth of the sector.
This data confirms the trend of the continuous strengthening of Croatian tourism, which is successfully positioning itself as a desirable destination not only in the summer, but also in the pre-season and post-season phases. This contributes to a more stable economy and higher, also more stable employment throughout the entire sector.
