Agrokor’s former government appointed extraordinary commissioner has left Croatia, in the direction of the Czech Republic.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 20th of June, 2018, Ante Ramljak, the first associate of the now former deputy prime minister Martina Dalić in Lex Agrokor’s initial drafting, a law by which his former consultancy company Texo Management entered into a circle of consultants who earned enviable royalties, has not returned to his former company following his resignation from the chair of the Agrokor Group, but has instead activated his career abroad.
To be more specific, Ramljak has reactivated his consultancy company Expiria Finance in the Czech Republic, according to a report from Net.hr.
After the extraordinary commissioner and one of the key creators of the controversial Lex Agrokor resigned on February the 20th, 2018, he completely vanished from the public eye, but he could still be seen now and then in Zagreb.
Net.hr readers claimed to have seen him with the owner of Texo Management, Tomislav Matić, and the logical question was whether or not Ante Ramljak had gone back to the company from which he moved to take his position within Agrokor, otherwise a company in which he even continued to work for some time while he was already running the show in Agrokor.
On Texo Management’s pages until as recently as ten days ago, Ante Ramljak was mentioned as as one of the co-owners and consultants within the company. Indeed, his name and photograph were there throughout his career as extraordinary commissioner for Agrokor, almost as if he was attempting to sit on two chairs at once, as the old saying goes.
On Texo Management’s website, located at the same address as Boris Šavorić’s well-known attorney’s office, under a panoramic photo of Zagreb in the “about us” section, the CV’s of both Ramljak and Matić could be found until June the 5th, when the company was asked whether or not Ante Ramljak had returned to his former company after resigning, and that data was swiftly taken down.
On their behalf, the company’s new communications consultant, Vedran Strukar, replied:
“It is not accurate that Ante Ramljak was hired at Texo Management following his resignation as the extraordinary commissioner in Agrokor.”
Asked if he could say more about the career plans of Ante Ramljak, Strukar simply replied that he did not have such information.
Although he has been seen in Zagreb, and although there were meetings and contacts with his former business partner, Tomislav Matić, as well as meetings with Martina Dalić, Net.hr revealed that Ante Ramljak has been attempting to continue his career abroad.
On March the 27th this year, just about a month after his resignation from the Agrokor Group, he activated his consultancy company in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague.
Back in August 2015, Ramljak registered the Expiria Finance company in the Czech Republic, but it wasn’t active. He has now activated it and in all likelihood will be dealing with similar consultancy jobs to the ones he has been working on with Matić’s partner through Texo Management. Ramljak’s company is otherwise registered in the quiet Prague neighborhood of Vinohrady.
