More luxury vessels float effortlessly in the Pearl of the Adriatic.

Dubrovnik is hardly short of luxury visitors on luxury yachts, during the summer months you can see millions of euros simply floating on the water and the price tag on some of these giants is simply incomprehensible to us mere mortals. Roman Abramovich and his incredible vessel are huge fans, just to give you an idea.

It seems politics is at play this summer as, ”Al Mirqab” the eye-poppingly beautiful yacht belonging to Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former Qatari Prime Minister, finds itself in Dubrovnik.

As Dubrovački Dnevnik states on the 15th of August, 2017, this stunning 2008 built vessel is a massive 133 meters in length, can cruise at a speed of 20.3 knots and has an aesthetic to die for. The yacht is one of the largest motor yachts in the world and otherwise spends its time in Greece. German citizen Peters Schiffbau Wewelsfleth designed the vessel and on board this luxury liner are ten suites, with the ability to accommodate up to 24 guests, each with an accompanying bathroom, living room and double bedroom, 55 rooms house crew members. Al Mirqab boasts a cinema, a sun deck, a pool and a helipad, as well as outdoor bars, a jacuzzi and more.

Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani was otherwise the PM of Qatar from the 3rd of April 2007 to the 26th of June 2013.
