American Jacob Lingo: Threatening Message But Safe: FBI Involved

August 8, 2019 – Missing American Jacob Lingo, who was last in contact with his family back on July 25 and staying in Baska Voda is safe, according to a Facebook group set up to appeal for help to find him.

There is, however, seemingly much more to the story according to the text posted on the page:

“Thank you to everyone who has shared his information, supported and prayed for Jacob. We have been able to make contact with Jacob and he is safe! We had received a threatening message from a person that Jacob”s safety may be in danger. The FBI became involved to find out if this threat was real. We were concerned for him traveling alone and this threat turned concern into panic. The US Embassy in Zagreb and Croatian police have been working very hard to find him. We are grateful and humbled by the outpouring of offers to help and concern for our son.”
