Environment First: Knin To Get Recycling Yard

A 2.2 million kuna project to benefit the environment in and around Knin.

As SibenikIN writes on the 29th of July, 2018, a conference beginning at 10:00 within the framework of the ”Construction of the Knin recycling yard” project will be presented by the Krka Ecological Association this coming Monday at Knin’s city hall.

With the importance of taking care of the local environment in mind, the aforementioned Krka-based ecological association is otherwise conducting services and educational activities, as well as dealing with the overall promotion and visibility of this significant and much needed project for Knin.

The total value of the project stands at 2.2 million kuna, co-financed by the European Union in the more than considerable amount of 1.7 million kuna. The City of Knin has poured 300,000 kuna into the praiseworthy project, and the Ministry of Regional Development has added 240,000 kuna on top of that.

The beneficiary of this environmentally friendly project is the City of Knin, and following the construction and the obtaining of the necessary permit(s), the management of the recycling yard will be entrusted to the communal services.

The recycling yard which will be conveniently located at the entrance to the ​​Preparandija entreprenerial zone will be available to local people throughout the year during working hours, and disabled people will be able to use it without any restriction.

The aim is for Knin’s new recycling yard is for it to be fully operational in January 2019.
