There are many annual events in the Hvar tourism calendar, but few of them are as popular as this one in Jelsa on hte last weekend of August – Festa Vina, which this year begins on August 24, 2017.
Join us again this year for the Jelsa Wine Festival on the last weekend of August and enjoy the best hvar wines and local gastronomy. Hang out with friends, sing and dance and have a great time at this year’s Jelsa Wine Festival.
We start on Thursday (August 24, 2017) with the “Movie for 1 Kuna” promo brought to Jelsa by Kino Mediteran. The CAPTAIN FANTASTIC movie will start at 21:00 at the Summer Cinema.
The Opening Ceremony will take place in front of the Municipal Building at 20:30 togehther with the performance of our amazing Jelsa Folklore Group Society and afterwards you can enjoy the traditional Boat Show with Torches in the port from 21:00. You are welcome at the numerous stands with the delicious hvar wines and our local gastronomy and once you have the perfect glass of wine in your hand, head to the Main square for the UNESCO multipart klapa singing concert of the Klapa Cambi. Stay for more music afterwards and dance until early morning hours – Band Aura will take care of the right rythm.
On Saturday, we all wait for the Pršut Rope-Climbing competition, which will start at 18:00. Bring the kids to take the perfect family picture with our donkeys. Taste hvar wines and enjoy our gastronomy again on the second day of our festival and listen to the Concert of Goran Karan on the Main square. Band Aura will be there again afterwards to make sure the fun goes on until early morning hours.
