ZAGREB, May 4, 2018 – The Croatian non-profit association “Povuci za Kulturu” will promote original Croatian toys in Brussels on Saturday as part of events celebrating Europe Day.
They will take part in events for this year’s Open Day in European Union institutions, and the cultural focus of the celebrations is to mark the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
To celebrate Europe Day, the EU institutions open their doors to the public in Brussels on 5 May, in Luxembourg on 5 and 9 May, and in Strasbourg on 10 June.
On Saturday, the Croatian association will hold a day-long workshop on authentic Croatian toys.
“This is the right opportunity to present something which I believe has the authentic cultural value,” said Croatian member of the European Parliament Tonino Picula, who invited the association to come to Brussels for this event.
Picula underscored the potential of these toys as recognisable tourist souvenirs.
