Meridda smart bracelet can help people monitor effects of stress.
The ideas of Meridda and young entrepreneur Tihana Petričević was created in collaboration with physicians. Due to the increase of psychosomatic diseases, which are closely linked to the busy everyday life, overload with numerous obligations during a day, and increased stress, Petričević has developed a solution to this problem before it turns into a more serious issue and permanently damages your health, reports Poslovni.hr on December 25, 2016.
Meridda consists of software and hardware solutions for the elimination of negative effects of stress on your health and work performance. The startup has created a smart bracelet that allows you to accurately monitor parameters such as stress, body temperature, location and time. It also includes a mobile and web application which enables data collection and processing. According to Petričević, the software quickly detects which are your weakest points which you should work on and gives you suggestions on how issues can be self-regulated. In addition, you can take re-measures to make sure whether you were successful.
“I started working on the idea through the Founder Institute Croatia about two years ago, and the development of the project is proceeding gradually, according to our financial capabilities. We are currently looking for investors to accelerate the product development, and to place it on the market as soon as possible”, says Petričević.
The project and the creative team are interdisciplinary, which means that they includes physicians, psychologists, developers, engineers and experts in electronics, while Petričević runs the whole project.
“Our goal is to create a quality and innovative product that will be able, with its aesthetics and functionality, to compete in international markets. Our primary plan is to launch the product in western European and American markets, but of course we will not exclude the rest of the world as well”, adds Petričević.
She points out that personalized approach and identifying and solving problems through hardware and software, and not through the subjective self-evaluation, are the main assets of her approach. Also, application of certain elements of biofeedback therapy is very important, since it has been proven to be very effective at certain symptoms closely associated with stress.
