Canelio consists of a clicker and a mobile app.
Canelio Team is the winner of this year’s Microsoft programme “Software StartUp Academy“, which brought it an award of 40,000 kuna. The winning team, among the seven finalists, was chosen at the final contest held during the WinDays16 conference in Poreč, reports Večernji List on May 1, 2016.
Brothers Tomislav and Vjeran Fistrić, the founders of Canelio, have come up with the first smart (lnternet of Things) device for dog training and the accompanying mobile app that allows user to motivate and train their dogs.
„I am so happy that our team has won this year’s contest, especially because the competition was so strong. My brother and I have our own dogs and the idea for Canelio came to us because we ourselves needed to train our dogs, but we also believe that other people will be enthusiastic about the app as well“, said Tomislav Fristić. After this win, we have a lot of work awaiting us, including the product launch, Fristić added.
The smart device, called clicker, that is being used together with the app „has the same functionality as the regular clicker, but with the addition of statistic data tracking it helps the user see when and how much they trained their dog. Every success and fail are being recorded and sent to the free mobile application (iOS and Android) to be processed“, Canelio explains on its website.
The startup points out that their project is „the world’s first smart dog training device and mobile application which allows users to create an online profile for their dogs and track their training progress through visually appealing statistics. They can also share any new trick learned, new level or earned achievement on social media“, Canelio explains.
Canelio works closely with one of the best rescue dog trainers in the world, they say, who has won many prizes in competitions and has his own dog training school. „Our goal is to see every dog trained and happy“, they emphasize.
Meanwhile, besides Canelio, the finalistst of this year’s Software StartUp Academy Pogramme were Juvo – Home Friend, OninO, Palester, Pin List, Vjencanje.com and Serene.
