Croatia has a vibrant technology scene, with young entrepeneurs producing a range of new and exciting applications. TCN caught up with Zvonimir Sabljic on April 19, 2016, to find out more about his company’s new app for the DJ scene – Clubble.
Clubble is a young croatian startup that has a vision of becoming a first online DJ booking agency.
As young people who both enjoy and understand night life and how it functions, we realized that a great problem lays in difficulties that a club has to face when searching for a DJ. It is a very time-consuming task, since telephone is the most common way they contact DJs. They need to call every DJ on the list one by one and when no DJ is available they need to call someone who knows some DJ. When they find one, often there is no evidence of his/her quality. On the other hand though, a lot of great DJs are struggling to find employer and to become visible to the people in the industry. This is supported by the fact that from top 100 DJ’s in the world, an average age they had a debut single is 32 while for vocal singer is 21.
Here comes Clubble, an online DJ renting platform that will enable clubs to find and rent a DJ of verified quality in no time, and DJs to enjoy exposure to clubs. On Clubble, DJs have their profiles with music genre, events they played on, social networks like Soundcloud and so on. Their profile is visible to registered clubs, who can easily check a particular DJ’s availability. Club can also publish a DJ competition for their certain event, and DJs can apply. When it comes to our business plan, it is determined by a certain percentage of transaction in which a club rents a DJ on our platform.
Clubble’s vision is to completely modernize nightlife management and the way clubs and DJ-s get in touch with eachother. We want to ensure that DJ-s get clear path from playing inf front of their friends to playing in front of thousands of people by speeding up their communication and business. In May our platform will officially be ready for clubs and DJs to use it.
Our team recently became part of the first startup incubator in Croatia, ZIP. There we are focused on sharpening our business model and gaining experience and networks. Although we are building a scalable business model here in Croatia, our plan is to go to the US where we can see future of our startup much more clearer.
