Pag Cheese by Sirana Gligora Wins Gold at 120th International Cheese Awards

Sirana Gligora won gold at one of the most important cheese-related events in the world.

Sirana Gligora d.o.o., producers of famous Pag cheese, won gold in the Sheep Milk Cheese, Hard Pressed category at the International Cheese Awards in Nantwich.

Established in 1897, this is the Awards’ 120th anniversary. It represents the most important cheese events in the UK and one of the most important events on the global level.

The two-day event attracted over 5,000 competitive entries from around the world and 250 had the difficult task of selecting the best among them. The first day (July 25) was trade day when Trade Lunch for 1,200 delegates was held and the winners were announced.oday is Show Day.

Today is Show Day, meaning that an 8,000 m2 area will hold the world record 5,000 entries of the best cheese and dairy products from some 27 countries with trade stands and celebrity chef cook-offs.
