Ladies, your search for the perfect gift for a man is over
What candies and chocolates are for a regular chocolate box, kulen, sausage, bacon, pork rinds and a bottle of wine are for a “Slavonian chocolate box” T-Portal reports on February 21, 2016. This unusual product was created by the Ravlić Meat Industry from Osijek on the occasion of its 55th anniversary. The whole concept of “Slavonian chocolate box” was designed by Hand Design Studio from Zagreb.
“The idea was born out of our need for business gifts, and we wanted something original, different from anything you can see now on the market. Slavonian chocolate box fits very well with our brand because we are from Slavonia”, explains Ivana Ravlić, the executive director of the Ravlić Meat Industry.
Slavonian chocolate boxes can be bought in their shops in two different packaging, one more expensive and exclusive, and another more accessible. The former includes their kulen, Slavonian bacon, pork rinds and a bottle of premium wine while the latter includes a Slavonian sausage, Slavonian bacon, pork rinds and wine.
“Boxes are already being sold in our shops. However, it is necessary to order them in advance from the shop or through our website, since we cannot store them in shops. Boxes are available for pick-up the next day, or in two days for those shops which are farther away”, says Ravlić.
The family company has evolved from the Plavi Podrum restaurant in Osijek which exists even today. The Ravlić Group employs 370 workers, has a modern slaughterhouse in Petrijevci near Osijek, has recently opened its 40th shop and covers the area from Međimurje and Zagorje to Zagreb and to Slavonia and Baranja. They also own the Agro Ravlić company which grows grains and other crops.
“We are very satisfied that we are now present in Zagreb as well so that our customers no longer have to constantly beg their relatives from Slavonia to bring them our products to Zagreb”, says Ravlić. The number of employees is increasing by three or four with the opening of each new shop. Last year, the Ravlić Meat Industry had revenues of 206,340,000 kunas.
