After the tragedy in Podgora, it seems the wild fires are set to spread as Peljesac takes a hit.
As DuList reports on the 29th of June, 2017, yesterday evening, a fire broke out in the area of Crnava, between the old walled town of Ston and Prapratno on Peljesac.
According to sources, the message was received on the 28th of June at 21:46, and DVD Ston and the County Fire Department were immediately notified and DVDs Putnikovici and Zuljana were also engaged. The fire was localised and brought under control just before midnight, at around 23:30, and nine firefighters were present all night.
The fire on the island of Mrcari which broke out on Monday also saw 15 firefighters from Korcula present during the night.
