July the 12th, 2023 – The brand new Orebic Hotel Crystal has now officially opened its doors. This hotel, in which a massive seven million euros was invested, offers a beautiful view out onto the island of Korcula.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the new Orebic Hotel Crystal, a new boutique hotel for the Peljesac peninsula, is now open. Seven million euros was poured into this complex, and following the opening of the Peljesac bridge, this new hotel is the largest investment on the peninsula in terms of hotel capacities. It also represents a major step forward in the tourist offer of Orebic as a whole.

The first guests actually arrived back in April

Hotel Crystal, located right next to the beach in Orebic and overlooking the town of Korcula, received its first guests at the end of April this year.

An investment from Australia to Croatia

Branko Peter Puljic, accompanied by his father, the Australian businessman Peter (Pere) Puljic, ceremonially cut the ribbon at the very entrance of the hotel at the opening. At the very beginning of the event, the guests were addressed by the investor and owner of the complex, Branko Peter Puljich, a native Australian and construction entrepreneur who fell in love with Orebic back during his youth.

“The first time I visited Orebic with my family, I fell in love with the crystal clear sea and the clean air. Over time, the idea of opening a hotel where guests would feel at home was born. After two years of construction and furnishing, the hotel has now been opened. Our goal is to attract lovers of the Peljesac peninsula and the Mediterranean lifestyle, to fullfill all of their wishes and expectations during their stay and to see each other again,” said Branko Peter Puljich.

The employment of locals from Korcula and the Peljesac peninsula

Hotel director Fani Marinovic pointed out that the hotel’s employees are local residents from across the Peljesac peninsula and also from the nearby island of Korcula. the new Orebic Hotel Crystal, she claims, will be primarily interesting for families with children because of the proximity to the beach and the promenade.

Four stars

The hotel is otherwise categorised with four stars and boasts 30 accommodation units. The current intention is for it to remain open throughout the year, thereby contributing to the always desirable strengthening of tourism even outside the peak summer season.
