Pelješac Open Cellar Days is a presentation of the wine-tourism product which aims to create a habit of targeted tours of Pelješac wine roads and other businesses on Pelješac.
“Preparations for the 12th manifestation Pelješac Open Cellar Days are in full swing. Looking at the announced arrivals from Zagreb, Zadar, Split and our own county, this has become the largest wine manifestation in Dalmatia. We expect a record number of visitors,” pointed out the manifestation organisers, association Plavac Mali – Pelješac and Pelješac Wine Roads, which averages more than 3 thousand visitors.
On Friday, December 1, 18 young Pelješac oenologists will rate young wines from indigenous varieties from the 2017 harvest, with a competition in venison goulash. All visitors to the Winemaking Tradition Home can enjoy the goulash and excellent wines, but also an exhibition of black and white photographs which present a former way of life in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Saturday, December 2, is reserved for a tour of cellar and tasting of wines which made this peninsula famous around the world.
