A few new sets of extremely expensive wheels for one of Croatia’s most popular national parks?

As RTL writes on the 9th of January, 2018, the purchase bid for new vehicles was announced at the end of last year, on December the 27th, 2017, and remains open until January the 12th, 2018.

According to the bid, Plitvice National Park doesn’t require the lowest, but the most economically cost-effective price.

Plitvice National Park announced the tender for the purchase of four vehicles whose value was estimated at a massive 670,000 kuna without VAT at the end of last year, Jutarnji List writes. One of the vehicles in question is a luxury SUV worth about 300,000 kuna, another vehicle worth 90,000, and then two more vans.

The bid was announced during the mandate of former director Antonija Dujmović, who told Jutarnji List that a vehicle for the director wasn’t in question, but a ”vehicle for employees of the park and their guests”.

Dujmović said that the final decision on the bid has not yet been made and that it will be have to be decided upon by new director Tomislav Kovačević, whose appointment resulted in the resignation of Darko Milinović from the post of head of HDZ for Lika-Senj County, who left his position in protest.
