July the 3rd, 2025 – Podravka and Kraš have come together across the pond on the US market to strengthen the image of Croatian products abroad.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian companies Podravka and Kraš began their business cooperation on the US market back at the beginning of June. This coming together of two respected domestic enterprises on a market as demanding as the American one is a strategic move. It further strengthens their cooperation through a distribution partnership in which Podravka’s company (Podravka USA Inc) took over the role of importer and distributor of Kraš products in the USA.
According to Podravka’s press release on the matter which was released earlier last month, this cooperation represents a strategic step forward in strengthening the presence of Croatian brands on the infamously challenging American market.
Kraš’s much loved and incredibly rich assortment will contribute to the expansion and enrichment of Podravka USA’s portfolio. It will do so both in the ethnic offer segment and in an increasingly strong approach towards general consumption. The aim of the cooperation of the Croatian companies Podravka and Kraš on the US market is to achieve additional synergies in distribution, as well as strengthen the market positions of both of these companies. Strengthening the recognition of Croatian brands among consumers throughout the USA is also listed as a top goal.
By joining forces, both Podravka and Kraš have further confirmed the importance of connecting domestic companies in international business. They have also highlighted just why it is necessary to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the Croatian food industry on the global market.
Podravka’s CEO Martina Dalić emphasised that Podravka’s cooperation with Kraš in distribution on the American market is a continuation of Podravka’s strategy of expanding and strengthening the presence of Croatian products on the global stage.
“Throughout 2024, Podravka recorded significant revenue growth over in the USA and our intention is to continue to market our products on that market. We also want to provide distribution services for other companies. the Croatian companies Podravka and Kraš share common values, a long tradition and strong brands, and I believe that this cooperation will further strengthen the recognition of our products on the US market,” stated Dalić.
Kraš’ CEO Tomislav Bagić is also more than satisfied with this joining of forces over on the American market, emphasising that Kraš and Podravka have shown through their previous cooperation that they achieve very good results together.
“We’re confident that Podravka’s experience and strong distribution network in the USA will enable our products to have a wider presence and greater availability. This cooperation isn’t just an operational agreement, it’s the result of long-term trust, professionalism and a shared ambition to further expand into international markets.
