ZAGREB, August 12, 2018 – A group of 12 migrants of whom ten were alive and two dead were spotted by the Croatian police in a forest near the village of Drežnica in the vicinity of the town of Ogulin on Sunday morning.
Karlovac County police, acting on a tip from local residents at about eight o’clock, found a group of migrants in a forest in the village of Drežnica, some 100 kilometres southwest of Zagreb.
According to the first information released by the police, they found a group of 10 alive and two dead migrants in that forest.
An investigation is under way into the causes of the death of the two persons.
A rising number of migrants coming via western Bosnia and passing through Croatia on their way to western and north Europe have been spotting on this route through Karlovac County recently.
