Who says Croats don’t protest?
On Tuesday afternoon, a protester emptied a can of faeces at the main government headquarters in Zagreb, reports Index.hr on August 21, 2018.
Ivan Skorin, a reporter with N1 television, released a photo on his Twitter profile showing the scene. The protester was taken by the police into the building without saying anything to journalists.
The woman had the “I am accusing you, gentlemen” inscription on her shirt, along with a photo of Siniša Glavašević, a journalist from Vukovar who was killed during the war there in 1991.
After a while, the police led the protester out of the building and into a waiting police car, and the protester gave a short statement to reporters. “I did this because of the lost arbitration in the Gavrilović case. I guess I am going to the police station now and to the misdemeanour court later,” she said.
The faeces did not survive for long in front of the government building. One of the cleaners came out and removed it.
The woman who staged the protest has been identified as activist Iva Anzulović.
