Anti-Fascists to Organise Commemorative March on 8 May

ZAGREB, April 24, 2018 – On the occasion of Victory Day and Zagreb Liberation Day, the Alliance of Associations of Antifascist Fighters and Antifascists (SABA) announced an Immortal Squad March to take place on May 8 between Zagreb’s Fascism Victims Square and the Republic of Croatia Square.

The idea of an Immortal Squad was conceived in Russia for the purpose of marking the 65th anniversary of the victory over fascism and honouring 65 million soldiers and victims of fascism and Nazism.

The march is held in 83 countries.

The participants in the Zagreb march will be carrying photographs with the names of people killed in the WWII National Liberation Struggle.
