ZAGREB, September 28, 2018 – The Conflict of Interest Commission decided on Friday to launch proceedings against Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and the leader of the opposition MOST party and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Božo Petrov, over their activities in the drafting of the law on the indebted Agrokor food and retail conglomerate.
The decision came following a report by the opposition Živi Zid party, which said that the three officials had misled the public about the number of meetings in government offices with members of the so-called Borg group concerning the drafting of the law on the emergency administration of companies of systemic importance to Croatia, known as the Lex Agrokor.
The Commission decided not to take action against Interior Minister Davor Božinović in this case.
