“From the political perspective of Agrokor’s saga, it will end with these prolonged deadlines as planned, and an agreement will be reached.”

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 19th of April, 2018, economic analyst Damir Novotny commented on the situation going on within Agrokor and yesterday’s session of the Parliamentary Economic Committee, which was attended by both Deputy Prime Minister Martina Dalić and Agrokor’s extraordinary commissioner, Fabris Peruško, for N1.

”From the political perspective of Agrokor’s saga, it will end with these prolonged deadlines as planned, and a settlement will be reached. In the [scope of] that, some groups of creditors will be better off, and some will be worse off. The smaller ones have done well. The company was indebted and paid little to the expense of financial lenders and some of the larger creditors. Agram, Adris and Franck will be worse off than the suppliers of goods. The internal Croatian economy is 0-0,” estimated Novotny.

As far as the financial framework of the settlement goes, Notovny pointed out that this remains to be known:

”Numerous risks can be found in these details. No details have been published and everything is quite mysterious. We don’t know what’s happening with Agrokor’s companies in other countries,” added Novotny, who also offered a look into his picture of the future state and running of the gigantic Agrokor Group.

”Adris and Franck have the role of both suppliers and financial lenders. The creditors are divided into several groups and those who have received the goods are treated differently than the financial lenders are. They won’t do so well. They’ll probably will have to write off a large part of their claim, but currently we don’t know how much that will be. One part of the debt will be rescheduled and another will be paid in shares. We’ll have a very interesting picture, Russian bankers and US bankers will dominate the future Agrokor,” claimed Novotny.
