ZAGREB, February 9, 2018 – Commenting on Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s visit to Croatia next week, Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović said on Friday that Croatian state institutions had extensive experience in organising international events and welcoming foreign officials and that the public could be at peace in that regard.
Asked about protests announced against Vučić’s visit, Božinović said that if protests were planned, they should be registered with police.
All relevant services have been doing their job from the moment the president of the republic invited the Serbian president, he added.
Asked if positions of the government and the president regarding Vučić’s visit had been agreed, Božinović said that as far as he was aware, the Serbian president would meet his host, President Grabar-Kitarović, as well as the prime minister and the parliament speaker.
