ZAGREB, July 1, 2018 – Croatian Defence Minister Damir Krstičević attended an Israeli defence industry conference in Tel Aviv on Sunday organised by the International Defence Cooperation Directorate of the Israel Ministry of Defence, the Croatian ministry said in a press release.
Krstičević, officially visiting Israel, presented Croatia’s defence industry and spoke of strategic Croatia-Israel cooperation in the context of Croatia’s purchase of Israeli fighter jets.
“Croatia has a small but strong defence industry which has been recognised in the world market. The positioning of Croatian companies is a proof of the excellence of Croatian products, as evidenced by the fact that Croatian soldiers are fully equipped with Croatian products and weapons,” he said.
The Armed Forces and the Defence Ministry strongly support the development of Croatia’s defence industry and the ministry is not just a consumer, but also a generator of the development of Croatian products, Krstičević said.
He voiced confidence that Croatia’s purchase of Israeli fighter jets will create business opportunities for Croatian companies.
