Police Find 37 Illegal Migrants near Border with Bosnia

ZAGREB, July 17, 2018 – As many as 37 illegal migrants were packed in the luggage compartment of a van which was stopped by Sisak County police in the village of Donji Kukuruzari close to the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday night, the police reported on Tuesday.

The van was driven by a 52-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was charged with illegal smuggling and unlawful gain earned while transporting people in an inhumane manner.

The migrants are 33 Pakistani and four Iranian nationals.
