Police Officer Arrested for Trafficking Migrants

ZAGREB, October 7, 2018 – A police officer from Zagreb has been arrested in Korenička Kapela while transporting in his van migrants who have illegally entered Croatia from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lika-Senj Police reported on Sunday.

Police stopped the van with migrants on Friday and discovered that the driver was a 40-year old police officer from Zagreb. There were 18 illegal migrants from Pakistan in the van.

The police officer will be suspended until the investigation ends.
