After “an attack” on the Ministry of Health, a second protest action by the Free Croatia political party.
On Thursday, members of the Free Croatia political party hit the entrance to the main HDZ party headquarters in Zagreb with eggs and mandarin oranges. They broadcast the protest live on Facebook, reports 24sata.hr on August 30, 2018.
Several days ago, the same party protested in a similar way in front of the Ministry of Health building, protesting against the policies implemented by Health Minister Milan Kujundžić.
This time around, members of the party in blue shirts said they had come to send a very clear message, primarily again to Minister Kujundžić. “You will not be able to hide behind other topics, we are still thinking about you. You will not be able to hide behind the problems in the Uljanik shipyard, and certainly not behind naked pictures of starlets,” said an activist of the Free Croatia party in a video filmed before the shooting.
They also sent a message to Prime Minister and HDZ President Andrej Plenković. “The next message is for Plenković: there are no marionette dolls from Brussels which can save Kujundžić’s ministerial position,” they said.
“This is for all my friends who have left Croatia, for the generation you have destroyed, and for all my friends who are moving abroad next week. Every Croat has to come before leaving the country because this is an institution which has destroyed their lives and forced them to leave the homeland,” said party co-president Damir Kristijan Rogina.
Today’s protest was dedicated to Barbara Kecman, a 15-year-old girl from Pula whose mother must beg for the therapy for Crohn’s disease, and to Frano Lučić, the only firefighter who survived the Kornati tragedy which took place 11 years ago today.
“Eighteen days have passed since the death of Matteo Ružić, and his parents have still not received any official document related to his death. They will get it,” said the same activist.
Another activist added that it was not true that they had fled after the last protest, adding that this time they would sit down and drink coffee until the police arrive.
