ZAGREB, February 10, 2018 – The head of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Croatia, Giuseppe Di Caro, visited the Reception Centre for Asylum Seekers in Zagreb on Friday, the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.
The UNHCR Office financed the refurbishing of the building, which has considerably improved the quality of life for asylum seekers at the Reception Centre. Di Caro and his associates inspected the work done.
Di Caro expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and the Reception Centre, stressing the need for ongoing dialogue and the need to improve cooperation in protecting vulnerable groups and refugees in general, according to the statement.
