December the 21st, 2024 – Following yesterday’s horrific attack at a Prečko school in Zagreb, heartbreaking messages have been left alongside teddy bears and candles at the site of the tragedy.
As Index vijesti/news writes, residents of Prečko, as well as other people from other parts of Zagreb, bid a touching farewell to the young victim of the Prečko school tragedy yesterday.
On the playground of the Prečko school, mourners arrived to light candles, leave teddy bears and heartbreaking messages.
“I can’t believe you’ll never hug me again”
“Dear T.
I can’t believe you’ll never hug me again,
I pray that your innocent and restless soul finds peace after this cruel life.
We will never forget you” is one of the touching messages.
“an angel is sitting up there somewhere”
“We only know that somewhere under the white clouds sits an angel,” reads another devastating message.
“My dear little one, I am so sorry. You will be loved, rest in peace. We all love you. Sleep well, angel,” someone added. Another mourner also left a piece of paper with a prayer to their guardian angel written on it.
Many arrived at the scene of yesterday’s shocking attack at the Prečko school and lit candles in front of not only the site of the tragedy, but in front of the local board building.
the attacker attempted to take their own life
As a reminder, a first-grade child was murdered in a shocking knife attack at the Prečko elementary school in Zagreb yesterday. A teacher and three children were injured. Among the injured was the 19-year-old attacker themselves who attempted to take their own life. The attacker had also made an attempt on their own life previously and had been deemed severely unwell.
