June the 29th, 2023 – Pula parking payment has just been made far more simple, regardless of the length of time you intend to leave your car there.
Parking in Croatia is a pain in the backside. If you’ve ever done it, regardless of where you’ve tried to do it (perhaps with the exception of the likes of Slavonia and smaller villages sitting off the radar), you’ll know that it often takes a talented driver.
Cars across Dalmatia in particular can be seen with paintwork damage, scratches and all kinds of ”battle scars” from incidents involving other cars, bikes, walls, trees, the list goes on. On top of the risk of your car getting into a losing battle with the side of a traditional dry stone wall or an witless overheated cyclist, you also typically need to pay pretty dearly depending on where you are.
Parking in Dubrovnik will cost you an arm and a leg, and maybe a kidney too, and you’re almost guaranteed to emerge from that southernmost Dalmatian city with a new scratch or bump.

What about Istria, however? Famed as a little ”less wild” than most of Dalmatia for a multitude of reasons, parking here can still come at a cost, and the tiny streets built for pedestrians and maybe the odd horse and cart certainly don’t lend their hand to the large hybrids of today. Pula parking payment, however, is set to be that bit less stress-inducing.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, brand new bar/QR codes containing information when scanned have appeared on the information poles of the Pula car park. Scanning one of them will make it easier when it comes to Pula parking payment going forward, writes local portal The Voice of Istria/Glas Istre.
You can now easily purchase an hourly or daily Pula parking ticket by simply scanning the QR code with your smartphone and pay using the Paydo or Aircash apps.
