July the 3rd, 2024 – The beautiful Istrian city of Pula will continue a tradition which spans generations and celebrate its patron saint today – Saint Thomas the Apostle.

As Morski writes, today, Pula marks the feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle, the patron of Pula’s diocese and of the city itself.

Following the marking of the day with a mass and an accompanying procession, a concert will be held by the choir of Sv. Juraj HRM and Klapa Sv. Mihovil.

The mass marking the day of Pula’s patron saint will be held at 18:00 at Pula Cathedral (Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), which will be presided over by Jure Bogdan, together with the bishops of the wider Rijeka metropolitan area and other bishops and priests.

On that day, the First Provincial Pilgrimage of the army, police, firefighters and veterans associations will take place in the Pula Cathedral.

There will also be a procession through the streets of the old city with the relics of Saint Thomas the Apostle. That procession will begin from Pula Cathedral, across Saint Thomas’ Square, through the main city streets and back to Pula Cathedral. Following those proceedings, a concert will be held to additionally mark the patron saint of one of the most visited ancient cities in Istria.
