October the 3rd, 2025 – A new shopping centre is set to be built near Zagreb as part of an investment estimated to stand at 8.5 million euros.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, according to currently unofficial information, about an hour and a half from Zagreb, construction of the new STOP SHOP shopping centre should begin at the end of November. This brand new shopping centre near Zagreb will span 12,025 square metres and boast 445 parking spaces.

Austrian investor Immofinanz plans to build a retail park with eighteen different business premises, 15 shops and three catering and hospitality facilities in the south of Bjelovar, according to a report from Klikni.hr. The value of the investment is estimated at 8.5 million euros excluding VAT.

According to currently unofficial information, all business premises have already been leased. It’s widely known that popular brand names such as Sinsay, Sport Vision, Tedi, Waikiki LC, the Batak restaurant and the Leggiero cafe are coming, but the final list of future retail and hospitality tenants has not yet been officially announced.

This new shopping centre near Zagreb is one of many similar investments playing out across continental Croatia in particular, with the aforementioned Bjelovar centre also relatively recently announced. The construction of more retail centres will provide people with more options when it comes to shopping, while also attracting new global brands to Croatia.
