Borna Ćorić on to Semi-finals of ‘Next Gen’ in Milan

A big turnaround for the Croatian tennis player gave him his third victory at the tournament

Young Croatian tennis player made a big turnaround to reach victory with 3-4 (3), 2-4, 4-2, 4-0, 4-2 against Russian Karen Hačanov, achieving three triumphs in his group to reach the semi-finals of the first edition of the Next Gen ATP Finals, a tournament of the eight best world tennis players under 22, taking place in Milan, Jutarnji List reported on November 9, 2017.

Ćorić is due to meet Russian Andrej Rubljov in the next match, last year’s winner of the Umag ATP tournament, who was better in five sets 4-1, 3-4 (8), 4-3 (2), 0-4, 4-3 (3) over Canadian Denis Shapovalov.

Ćorić and Rubljov will play for a spot in Saturday’s finals on Friday at 19h, with Korean Hyeon Chung and Russian Daniil Medvjedev playing after them in the second semi-final.

The Croatian 20-year-old Davis Cup national team member will play against Rubljov for the first time.
