After the pause for National team friendlies, it is time for round 29 of CFL
The teams are complete after the national team games, and there are some exciting matches to be played this weekend. It all kicks off on April 1, 2016.
ZAGREB – INTER – Zagreb – Friday, 18.00 CET
The match without any pressure for both teams. Zagreb is getting ready for League two next season, and Inter is safe in its position, with no hopes for Europa League place, but also with no fear of relegation. Zagreb has not won in a month, so this is maybe the opportunity for them to get some pride back.
ISTRA 1961 – LOKOMOTIVA – Pula – Saturday, 15.00 CET
Istra desperately needs a win in this match, as they are trailing by five points behind Osijek in the battle for survival in the First league. Opponent they are facing in this round is anything but easy, as Lokomotiva is still in the fight for Europa League qualifying position.
SLAVEN BELUPO – RIJEKA – Koprivnica – Saturday, 19.00 CET
Rijeka is still to a the win against Slaven this season, and they need it more than ever if they are to stay in the contest for the title. Slaven will probably think more about their next match vs. Rijeka, to be played in second leg Semi-final Cup match.
DINAMO – OSIJEK – Zagreb – Sunday, 15.00 CET
Dinamo has slipped in Split in the last round and has no more mistakes to spare. If they want to keep ahead of Rijeka, they have to win this match. Truth be told, we do not see how they could lose this one.
SPLIT – HAJDUK – Split – Sunday, 19.00 CET
Split is in the battle for Europa League, and Hajduk would probably secure its qualification for it with the win against city rivals. It is always a tight match between the two, not so much as some other city rival matches in Croatia. It will be interesting to see if changes in management will leave its mark on Hajduk team.
