Tin Srbić won a gold and Ana Đerek a bronze at the World Cup competition in Doha

Second weekend in a row of medal winning competitions for Croatian gymnasts at World Cup tournaments: in Baku Anton Kovačević was silver on the bar and Filip Ude bronze on the pommel horse, while on Saturday in Doha medals went to Tin Srbić (20) and Ana Đerek (18), Jutarnji List reported on March 25, 2017.

The Zagreb native won silver in the bar finals, climbing one step higher in his sports career after four bronzes during the previous year (Szombathely, Osijek, Ljubljana and Baku). A week ago in Baku he was sixth, but this time he completed one of his best exercises and with 14.400 points stood right after Chinese Ruoteng Xiao who was better by only 133 points.

Best Croatian female gymnast Ana Đerek participated in two finals, and after finishing fifth on the beam (12.833), she won a bronze in her favourite competition on the mat (12.900). Ahead of the Split Olympian were only Chinese Tinting Liu and the silver Australian Emily Little.

After a great performance in Baku and Doha where they won a total of four medals, Croatian representatives are turning to final preparations for the European Championships from 19 to 23 April in Romanian Cluj.
