Davis Cup: Croatia and Belgium Even After Day One

Croatia got the first point in Davis Cup round one match, but Belgian no. 1 player equalized the score

Marin Čilić won against Kimmer Coppejans 7-5, 6-3, 7-5, getting Croatian Davis Cup team ahead of Belgium in first round match of Davis Cup World Group.Belgian player had a break lead in all three sets, but Čilić broke back in all three and got a win after two hours and 22 minutes of playing.

In the second match, Croatian youngster Borna Čorić gave a great performance playing against the best Belgian player, David Goffin, but has lost in a five-set match, 3-6, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 3-6. Čorić had his chances, and staged a great return, after losing the first two sets, and winning the next two, but ran out of steam in a deciding set.

Doubles match will start on Saturday, March 5. 15.00 CET, and it could be a crucial one for the overall score.
