On the last day of the World Group Play-offs, Borna Ćorić plays against Thomaz Belluci while either Mate Delić or Ivan odig will take on João Souza
It’s been an exciting couple of days in Florianapolis, Brazil where Croatia is playing against the home team in the World Group play-offs.
In the opening rubber Mate Delić was defeated by Thomaz Belluci ending the first day with a 1:0 for the home team since heavy rains stopped the second match between Borna Ćoric and João Souza . ON day two, Borna secured a win, drawing the contest level in the second rubber.
Brazil’s Olympic medal contenders Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares saw their nine-match winning streak in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas come to an end right after the Ćorić / Suoza game, as Ivan Dodig and Franko Škugor took the doubles rubber making the score after the second day 1-2 for Croatia.
On the last day of the competition, in the reverse singles we will be able to follow some great tennis as Thomaz Belluci will play against Borna Ćorić, while Suoza will take on either Delić or Dodig, depending whether the tie goes into a decisive fifth rubber.
