Once again they created an imaginative and fun calendar
Every year we look forward to the new FC Split calendar because they always surprise us with an innovative and “out of the box” photos instead of the standard type of calendar we are used to seeing from most football clubs. On December 22, 2015, they presented the 2016 edition and they didn’t disappoint.
The idea behind this year’s calendar was to combine the club’s history with the history of the City of Split so the players posed as Roman legionnaires and gladiators, emperor Diocletian and it all took place a few months ago in the cellars of Diocletian’s palace.
The calendar itself was the brainchild of the main designer Stjepko Rošin and photographer Tom Dubravec and 1000 copies of it are available as of today in the club’s official fan shop.
Representatives of the club wanted to thank the City Museum of Split for letting them “occupy” the cellars for four days and the association “Diocletian’s legion” for tirelessly helping out in setting the scenes and coaching the players so they look the part.
We just hope they will hold off with their acting career for a few more months until the football season finishes, and in the meantime, if you’re a fan, make sure you get a copy of the calendar before they sell out.
