Big clubs make the most of annoucning their new playing kit and, finally, one Croatian football club has done its homework and done it in style. Hajduk used the emperor’s Diocletian square, and the emperor himself to announce the new season, and to promote the new kit.
On July, 6, 2016, at noon precisely, Hajduk presented its new official home kit for the season 2016/17, at Peristil square. The new kit was presented by the emperor Diocletian and empress Prisca at the crowded square in the heart of Diocletian’s palace.
After their introduction to the event, they invited the players to join them in a ceremony.
Hajduk’s first team, accompanied by the Praetorian Guard, took a walk through the downtown and took numerous photos with fans and tourists.
They walked from Peristil to Jupiter’s temple all the way to Vocni Trg (Fruit square) and Riva promenade. Their final destination was Matejuska.

Hajduk will hit the pitch wearing the new kit with their friendly match against Slavia Prague (Thursday at Poljud, kick – off 19:00).
