Hajduk Requests Foreign Referees for Upcoming Cup Games

Hajduk doesn’t trust Croatian referees, Zoran Mamić replied cynically. 

HNK Hajduk has issued the official request to the Croatian Football Federation on February 26, 2016 to employ referees from abroad for Cup semi – final games against Dinamo Zagreb in March. In its request, Hajduk claims that mistakes made by Croatian referees in this season were not made accidentally, and tend to favor only one club in Croatia.

Request is yet to be considered by CFF officials, but Zoran Mamić, Dinamo’s coach responded cynically that maybe Torcida should be refereeing the game, and Hajduk’s officials Brbić and Pavasović should be the assistant referees. With the simple fact Zdravko Mamić is the person still in power in CFF, and the history of relations between the parties involved, it would be a surprise if Hajduk’s request is to be approved.
