Marin Čilić Holds World Number 3, Petra Martić Best Ranked Croatian Female Tennis Player

Croatia’s best tennis player Marin Čilić has retained third place in the ATP ranking, just behind Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Marin Čilić has managed to maintain his best ever career ranking as he comes in at world number 3 in the latest ATP ranking announced today, reports Index.hr on February 26, 2018. 

Swiss tennis superstar leads the ATP ladder with 10,105 points and Spanish star Rafa Nadal follows Federer with 9,760 points. Marin Čilić remains in third place with 4,960 points. In the top five best in the world is Grigor Dimitrov (4,635) and Alexander Zverev (4,450).

Croatian tennis players Borna Ćorić and Ivo Karlović have both fallen two places in the latest ranking and are now in the 50th and 80th positions, while Viktor Galović also fell two places and is currently the 185th best tennis player in the world.

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep took the lead in the WTA ranking, while Petra Martić is the best ranked Croatian female tennis player. Halep advanced over Caroline Wozniacki this time who fell to second, and the third best female tennis player is Garbine Muguruza.

Of the Croatian female tennis players, the best is Petra Martić, who has progressed five places to be the 51st best female player in the world. Donna Vekić is just one place behind Martić in 52nd. Mirjana Lučić Baroni retained 65th place, while Ana Konjuh fell 24 places to be the 85th best in the world. Jana Fett progressed from 115th place to the 113th position.
