A star futsal signing for Split.

Brazilian sportsman, Dovenir Domingues Neto, often simply referred to as ”Neto”, is recognised as one of the best futsal players in the world, and this past Wednesday his transfer to a Croatian club (FC Split Tommy) was confirmed on February 18, 2016.

Neto, the 34 year old defender from Uberlandia, Brazil, comes to Split after winning the World Cup with Brazil, 2 European titles, 3 Brazilian league titles, 2 Spanish titles and 3 Spanish cups, he also won the Golden Boot at the World Cup back in 2012.

“I chose Split Tommy because the club believes in Brazilian players and Croatia is a country where the futsal scene is growing. I would like to thank Mr. Čaglj who believes in me and I will do all I can to return that faith. I want to find out what type of city Split is as I heard it is a nice city and a nice place to live which made my decision easier,” Neto stated.

His arrival in Split is expected on 15th March 2016.
