March the 25th, 2025 – The popular Terme Tuhelj, a staple for continental Croatian tourism, has successfully completed a large 27 million euro investment.
As Sinisa Malus/Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Terme Tuhelj, the leader in the thermal resort segment in not only Croatia but the entire wider region, has completed a 27 million euro investment cycle. Approximately 6.6 million euros was covered by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism under the “Strengthening sustainability and fostering the green and digital transition of companies in the tourism sector” segment.
Over the past two decades, Terme Tuhelj has undergone a rather remarkable transformation from a local complex with swimming pools and old accommodation units into one of the most modern thermal resorts in the region.

This might be the most recent, but Terme Tuhelj has seen many an investment. Continued investments in its accommodation offer, wellness facilities and innovative solutions have all contributed to the fact that the complex recorded over 163,000 overnight stays last year alone. This is all despite this most recent, huge investment, which will further cement its position in the market.
Key elements of this huge project include the modernisation of the Water (Vodeni) Planet indoor pools, with additional wellness facilities and therapeutic pools. Then there’s the opening of the Well Family Hotel, boasting 46 premium family rooms, all properly adapted to the modern needs of guests. Other investments include the development of a new square with green roofs, walkways and a fountain, further emphasising sustainable architecture.

The new Hotel Well Family features specially designed room facilities that allow parents and children to have a carefree stay. The accommodation pavilion is connected to the rest of the hotel by a corridor, ensuring maximum guest comfort. Parents with children also have access to plenty of existing family facilities such as playrooms, hammocks and more.
In addition to the new accommodation capacities, Water (Vodeni) Planet is undergoing a complete reconstruction and expansion. That will further improve the quality of the offered wellness and spa services, including a new relaxation area with a hydro-massage pool.
