Even though it hasn’t officially begun, autumn came bringing heavy rains, thunderstorms and even hail!

Croatia, including Zagreb, has seen a rapid change of weather in the past week. Most people were a caught off guard by an unexpected drop in temperatures and increase in precipitation. The situation was especially difficult in Zadar, where heavy rains caused flash floods and torrents, closing down schools and many houses and business premises suffering severe damage. It even caught poor citizens of Nin stranded on the island. And today, Split experienced one hell of a hailstorm.

Zagreb has also seen a fair share of bad weather yesterday and in the past few days. Due to heavy rainfall, the Sava river overflowed its banks, while the residents of Sesvete had even experienced a snowy feel as the streets and backyards turned white due to the hailstorm.
