After a break of more than two weeks in peak season, a European Coastal Airlines seaplane touches down in Jelsa on Hvar.
European Coastal Airlines has once more taken to the skies over the Adriatic, resuming its seaplane service connecting Croatia’s islands and mainland.
A little after 13:00, one of ECA’s Twin Otters taxied into the seaport station in Jelsa to start operations once again after the company’s fleet was grounded following an inspection by the Croatian Civial Aviation Authority earlier this month.
More details to follow, but my understanding is that one of the four planes is currently cleared to fly. Today’s flights will cover the following route – Jelsa – Resnik (Split Airport) – Split – Vela Luka – Lumbarda, Split – Resnik.
Tomorrow’s route will be Split – Mali Losinj – Pula – two rotations.
For the latest information, follow the ECA Facebook page.
Here is today’s take off from Resnik.
