More nice international column inches for Hvar’s millennial hotel, Pharos hvar bayhill, on February 24, 2018, as Suncani Hvar’s funkiest hotel is included in The Times best 30 holidays in Croatia for 2018.
The latest in a series from The Times on the best aspects of tourism in Croatia for 2018 once more features the island of Hvar, this time with Hotel Pharos hvar bayhill being featured in the 30 Best Hotels in Croatia. Here is what The Times had to say:

One of the priciest destinations in Croatia, Hvar pulls in a moneyed yachting crowd and has a raft of upscale boutique hotels. All of this makes Pharos a revelation — a chic, modern hotel with rooms from £43 a night. The lobby area is the main “living” area, with a central bar and dining section, while outside there’s a good-sized pool with a cocktail bar that gets lively in the evenings. I must admit I was not sure what to expect when I was invited to the opening of the newly-revamped hotel a couple of years ago. Previously a sorry two-star hotel in a delightful residential location just two minutes from the waterfront, the four-star quality revamp reflected perhaps the direction in which Hvar Town tourism is heading, with the emphasis firmly on millennials. It was quite an opening party, which you can read about here.
I stayed there again a couple of months ago, as TCN covered the winter bike training camp of Bahrain Merida, one of the world’s top cycling teams, which included world champion, Vincenzo Nibali, and it was certainly a different aspect of Hvar tourism to observe, with a team of 75 elite professionals taking over the December roads of Hvar. The concept of cycling tourism is growing rapidly in Dalmatia, and Pharos has positioned itself well as the first cycling hotel on the island – and it did rather well as catering to the needs of its famous clients.
Affordable Hvar, wrote The Times – and it does compare very well with the rates to other hotels in the town, especially if you book by February 28 to take advantage of a 15% early booking discount.
