Four festivals – Five awards!
More great news for the promotion of Croatian tourism. In just two months since its launch, the promotional film presented by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board “Dubrovnik and Time”, which was produced by Balduči Film from Zagreb, has won five awards at four festivals.
At the ITB Berlin, in competition with nearly 1,500 films, it won the second place, which was followed by a bronze medal at the prestigious New York Festivals Television & Film Awards, where the film was the only Croatian representative. The award was won in the strong competition of hundreds of films – including high-budget promotional films produced by major companies such as Jaguar and Nike.
At the Tourfilm Riga Festival, among 170 films from 44 countries, it won second place – the Mention Award, and just in the last few days at the Finisterra Festival in Portugal it was awarded with two prizes in strong competition of 232 films from 87 countries: the first prize in the Historical Cities category and the third place in the Destination category.
“The film by director Herve Tirmarche has been accepted for competition at several festivals: in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Poland, and we will soon see what results that will bring us”, said Spomenka Saraga, the producer of the film, who also produced the film Unique Dubrovnik – directed by Željko Belić, which has won 17 awards and is to date the most awarded Croatian tourist film.
