Best in Croatia: Winners Announced at ‘Days of Croatian Tourism’

The best in the tourism business were awarded at Days of Croatian Tourism on Lošinj island

Earlier tonight, Days of Croatian Tourism (DHT) were officially opened with an award ceremony in hotel Bellevue in Mali Lošinj. On the first night of DHT, the Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) announced the award winners in multiple categories for best destinations and attractions.

The most coveted award of the night, Most successful summer destination, went to Rovinj, while Split took away the Best city break destination award.

 

Here are the remaining top winners of the night:

Most successful destination in health tourism: Crikvenica
Best authentic coastal destination ‘Malo misto’ (Little Town): Maslinica
Most successful destination in rural tourism: Baranja region
Most successful destination in continental Croatia: Osijek
Best destination in sustainable tourism: Aquatika aquarium in Karlovac
Best in entertainment and fitness: Zaton Holiday Resort
Best beach: Lido; Angiolina bathing resort in Opatija

 

HGK presented their ‘Tourist Flower – Quality for Croatia’ awards to the best in tourism business:

Best city hotel: Esplanade, Zagreb
Best congress hotel: Valamar Lacroma, Dubrovnik
Best 5-star hotel: Monte Mulini, Rovinj
Best 4-star hotel: Valamar Diamant, Poreč
Best 3-star hotel: Bluesun Soline, Brela
Best in family vacation: Valamar Isabella Resort, Poreč
Best in wellness: Bluesun Elaphusa, Bol
Best ‘stories’ hotel: Pucić, Dubrovnik
Best small family hotel: Adriatic, Orebić
Hotel investment of the year: Valamar Girandella Resort, Rabac

Best camps: Lanterna in Poreč. Polidor in Funtana

Best marinas: Marina Frapa Rogoznica, ACI marina Dubrovnik, Marina Vrsar, Olive Island Marina Sutomišćica

Best large DMK travel agency: Uniline, Pula
Best small DMK travel agencies: Calvados Club Luxury Travel, Split; Fiore tours, Poreč; Etno Art Travel, Lopatinec

Best charter company: Croatia Yachting, Split

Best hostel: Swanky Mint, Zagreb

Best spa retreat: Daruvarske toplice
